North London Walks

Brilliant guided walks around north London

Explore the history of Alexandra Park

Alexandra Park is perhaps best known for it’s amazing views across London but it also has an incredible history.

On this walk we’ll talk about the history of the BBC at the Palace, discover a secret cold war bunker hidden in the undergrowth, visit the rose garden built by German internees during World War One and find out about some of the incredible characters that form such an important part of the history of the park.

The walk will end up at the Phoenix pub with it’s open air terrace where – if you wish – you are welcome to stay for a coffee or something a bit stronger…

The walk takes about one hour and 15 minutes in total.
